Profile
Hi, I’m Dr Paul Fien.

As your Anaesthetist, it’s my job to ensure your safe-keeping throughout your medical procedure.

I aim to provide the best care possible, so I work closely with your surgeon to understand your particular circumstances and needs. Together, we bring a high degree of expertise and experience to address the medical concerns that have been impacting your life.

When we meet, I’ll ask questions of you, which may relate to your current medical condition, your medical history, and sometimes your family’s medical history. Please raise any concerns you might have about your anaesthesia so that I can address them. Let me know about your experience once your procedure is complete.

I’m a fully qualified medical specialist in the field of Anaesthesia. After completing my medical degree, I undertook anaesthetic training at Concord, Royal Prince Alfred and Royal North Shore Hospitals. Following my training I worked on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales for several years. I now work at various hospitals on the northern side of Sydney.

I’m a Dad of three young adults, and enjoy spending time in nature, including hiking and kayaking. I’ll be keen to understand more about you when we have the opportunity to meet.
