PREPAYMENT of Anaesthetic Fee

Payment for part or all of the anaesthetic fee may be requested 3 days prior to procedure date.

An IFC (Informed Financial Consent) and prepayment information is sent to the patient via email or text which will include a link. Once the link has been accessed, information on; the Anaesthetist, medical questionnaire (may be requested), general anaesthetic information and financial consent is supplied. At the end of the financial consent, the option to prepay online or contact the office to make payment is offered.

Prepayments can only be completed through the link supplied with your IFC. You CANNOT use the “Pay Invoice” button below or on the front page of our website.

Confirmation of funds received will be sent to the patient.


Make a payment - After the procedure

After your procedure an invoice will be generated. For payment of the invoice the patient has four options:

  • Option 1. Credit Card: pay online (use button below) or over the phone or post to the office
  • Option 2. BPay
  • Option 3. Cheque/Money Order
  • Option 4. Cash in person at the office

Once payment has been made, or if a prepayment was made, a receipt is issued.

Depending on the type of invoice you have received 9a offices will complete one of the following claims:

Gap Payment: Claim the additional fee from Medicare and health fund on behalf of the Anaesthetist. These fees will be paid to the Anaesthetist. A receipt for the Out of Pocket will be sent to the patient.

Account Paid In Full by Patient: A two-way claim on the patient's behalf, will be made electronically. Schedule rebates will be paid directly from Medicare and health fund to the patient's nominated payment method with the insurers.

A receipt noting the above will be sent to the patient.
Please note the Medicare Threshold does not relate to INpatient services.
